Version 1.1.1 of 8 Ball Smash is NOW AVAILABLE for download! Along with this new version come several big updates—and while you'll surely love them all, a few key elements of gameplay will be changing. Keep reading to learn everything you need to know about this update!
Quick Shot
We added a WHOLE NEW WAY TO PLAY—just aim the cue ball, pull back on the cue stick, and release! No waiting for the meter.
Advance Mode
Keep an eye out for matches with Advance Mode enabled! Advance Modes still have the Accuracy Meter, so make sure to take your time with every shot. But don’t be too slow, or else your shot timer will expire!
3 New Preview Lines
We are excited to announce the addition of 3 new preview lines to the Cue Ball stat: Bank, Carom, & Combo Lines. These new lines will definitely take your pool game to the next level! They are extremely useful—and can even be deadly when used in the right situation.
Bank Line
Bank Lines show the direction the Target Ball will go after the Cue Ball makes contact with a bumper.
WHEN TO USE: Use the Bank Line when the Target Ball has no direct line of sight to a pocket. In this scenario, aim the Target Ball at a bumper and adjust your aim until the Bank Line is pointing at a pocket on the opposite side.
Carom Line
Carom Lines show the direction of the Target Ball after it makes contact with another ball.
WHEN TO USE: Use the Carom Line when any ball is blocking your Target Ball’s path in order to make your shot. Aim the Target Ball into the secondary ball, and adjust your aim until the Carom Line is pointing at the desired pocket.
Combo Line
Combo Lines show the direction of a secondary ball after contact from the Target Ball.
WHEN TO USE: Use the Combo Line when your own ball is blocking your Target Ball’s path to a pocket. Aim the Target Ball into your secondary ball, and adjust your aim until the Combo Line is pointing at the desired pocket.
New Cue Ball Info Menu
With the addition of the 3 new Preview Lines, the Cue Ball Info menu was in need of an upgrade, too! The new layout makes it incredibly easy to view a Cue Ball's various stats. The higher the number—or the closer to green—the better the stat! You can also tap on any stat to see a visual representation of it, as well as and a short written description.
Currency Makeover
Coins, Cash, and Tickets all got a much needed makeover. Same great value, now with a clean new look!
3D Camera Improvements
We’ve made huge improvements to the 3D camera to ensure you never miss a moment of the action! The new 3D camera always keeps the cue ball in view, and now transitions between shots so you always know where you are. We also added a surprise camera shot when you scratch... but hopefully you'll never see that angle. ;)
