POOL GRAND PRIX
Get ready for Pool Grand Prix, an exciting new skill shot challenge that will take your 1v1 experience to the next level! Here's what you need to know:
Pool Grand Prix will be part of your 1v1 Tour Match experience — play either Fast Break OR 8 Ball mode to participate!
Make skill shots (Carom, Bank, Combo, or Kick), straight shots, or sink the 8 Ball to earn points toward the Grand Prix.
Fill your points meter to win rewards and move to the next level!
You'll start with the highest possible multiplier, meaning that each successful skill shot will earn you the most points possible. But beware: each loss will decrease that multiplier!
These are limited time events, so don't miss out!
Pro Tip: Equip a cue ball with extended Carom, Bank, Combo, and/or Kick lines to help you progress quickly and earn all those Grand Prix rewards!
Pool Grand Prix will initially be in limited-release, so you may see these events appear any time over the next couple of weeks. Get ready!
9 BALL POOL
You asked, we listened… Version 2.2 will include brand new 9 Ball Pool Hustles! These special Side Hustle events will follow the rules of 9 Ball pool, as described below.
The Basics of 9 Ball:
The object of the game is to be the first to legally pocket the 9 Ball.
The cue ball must strike the lowest numbered ball on the table first.
If any ball other than the lowest is hit first, it's a foul, and the opponent gets ball-in-hand.
If the lowest ball is struck first, any subsequent combination or carom shots are legal. In other words, your cue ball must always make contact with the lowest numbered ball first. It is legal for a higher numbered ball to be sunk off of a combo or carom shot, as long as the lowest-numbered ball was the one struck by the cue ball.
Legal Break:
The 1 ball must be hit first.
At least 3 balls must hit a rail, or 1 ball must be pocketed. If neither occurs, the opponent gets a re-rack to break again.
Fouls:
A foul occurs if…
the lowest-numbered ball is NOT hit first.
no ball hits a rail after the lowest ball is struck.
a cue ball is scratched or flies off the table.
a target ball leaves the table.
If a foul occurs, the opponent gets the ball-in-hand.
Three consecutive fouls result in forfeiture.
Shot Clock:
Shot clock rules apply with penalties for timing out, giving the opponent ball-in-hand.
Instant Win:
Win INSTANTLY by pocketing the 9 ball on the break (as long as no fouls occur!).
9 Ball Pool Hustles will initially be in limited-release, so you may see these events appear any time over the next couple of weeks. Get ready!
BALL HIGHLIGHT
A brand new, helpful update included in Version 2.2 is ball highlight. Once you've been assigned to solids or stripes in a game, you'll see each ball of your assigned group highlighted on all of your turns. Never lose track of your target balls again!
