GAME MODES: ONE VS ONE

One vs. One Mode is the main game mode in Ultimate 8 Ball Pool! Playing this mode allows you to unlock new tours, earn coins, and climb the global leaderboards.

In One vs. One mode, your goal is to defeat your opponent in a single match. To play, tap the “Enter” button in one of the available One vs. One Tours. An entry fee will be collected along with the entry fee of your opponent, which is held until the end of the match. If you defeat your opponent, you win the match! Winners collect the entry fees from both players AND trophies that help you unlock access to higher Tours.

Ultimate 8 Ball Pool offers two different types of One vs. One modes - 8 Ball & Fast Break.

8 BALL TOUR

The 8 Ball Tour is the traditional pool game that we all know and love.

  • To enter, you will wager a coin entry fee plus a designated number of Trophies against another player in a real-time, head-to-head, winner-takes-all match.

  • To begin, one player will break. Whoever sinks the first ball will then need to sink the rest of that type of ball—either stripes or solids.

  • To win the match, be the first to sink all your colored balls, followed finally by the 8 Ball.

  • Make sure to click on the "i" icon on the upper right corner of the Tour Card to learn the rules for that particular tour, and the prizes you can win by playing there!

FAST BREAK TOUR

The Fast Break Tour is a unique and fast paced billiards game.

  • Just like in 8 Ball, you enter by wagering a coin entry fee plus a designated number of Trophies against another player in a winner-takes-all match.

  • Your goal in Fast Break is to sink all of the target balls on your table in fewer shots than your opponent.

  • Some of the Fast Break Tours add obstacles and other penalties that you will need to avoid, so be sure to read the rules of each Fast Break Tour before taking your first shot!

  • If the score is tied after sinking all of the target balls, or if both players have reached the max shot limit (regardless of score), players will enter into a tie breaker round. The goal of the tie breaker round is to get your cue ball closest to the center of the target. The cue ball closest to the circle wins the match. The cue ball must hit the back bumper first to be a legal shot.

CASES

The prize you receive for winning a One vs. One match is called a CASE.

Opening an Unlocked Case

  • Depending on the rarity of a case, it may take as little as 5 seconds, or as much as 16 hours, before it is unlocked and ready to be claimed.

  • If you don’t want to wait for the unlock timer, you can spend Cash to skip the timer and open the bag immediately! The amount of Cash required will vary based on how much time is left on your unlock timer.

  • You can only hold 4 Cases at one time. So, if all 4 of your Case Slots are full, but you continue playing 1v1 matches, you forfeit your opportunity to earn more cases.

  • You must manually open Cases to collect your rewards. Once a Case is opened, it is removed from the case slot.

  • Case rewards depend on the Case rarity. The more rare the Case, the better the rewards. Cases may contain coins, cash, cue balls, cue stick cards, table cards and table bonus cards.
